AUSTIN, Texas -- Augmentix Corporation, a leader in rugged computing solutions for demanding environments, announced today the newest member of its family of rugged servers the ultra rack-dense A+R200. The A+R200 is highly scalable with multiple processor options including Intel®’s Dual-Core Xeon® 3000 and Quad-Core Xeon 3200 Series Processors which provide exceptional performance and power efficiency. With up to 1.5 TB of on-board shock-mounted storage capacity and optional RAID support, the A+R200 provides military, industrial and government customers with a powerful, flexible, rugged 1U rack and transit case-mountable server.
Augmentix® A+R200 server is the first rugged device that is IT-compatible with Dell’s PowerEdge R200 enterprise server. The A+R200 is ideal for customers looking for maximum price/performance in a 1U chassis, as well as customers running multiple applications and multi-threaded tasks. Designed and built using Augmentix’s proven mechanical, structural, thermal and filtration technologies, the A+R200 server provides reliable operation in challenging conditions including extreme temperatures, varying vibration and shock conditions, as well as in dusty locations.
“Complex IT environments have typically meant higher IT costs, especially in the rugged arena,” said Stephan Godevais, President and Chief Executive Officer of Augmentix. “With the introduction of the A+R200, we provide a powerful, rugged enterprise-class server that supports simplified IT management and can be seamlessly integrated into Dell-centric enterprise IT infrastructures,” Godevais said.
