CAMPBELL, Calif. -- APTARE, Inc., a leading provider of Web-based storage reporting and management software, today announced a new release of it enterprise storage management software that expands the company's core backup reporting expertise into the realm of storage capacity management.

With the release of APTARE StorageConsole Platform 6.5, APTARE is bringing its reputation for easy to use backup reporting and depth of predictive analysis capabilities to one of the storage world's most thorny problems: how to accurately track storage capacity utilization and predict future needs.

"With storage growing at 50 to 60% per year and utilization rates hovering at alarmingly low percentages, it's imperative for enterprises to deploy solutions that can discover and provide a realistic view of their storage environment, from primary storage through backup to disk or tape," said Bob Laliberte, an analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group.

"APTARE's StorageConsole provides the best of both worlds with a seamless, easy to use graphical interface that provides centralized visibility into the storage back up and capacity management environments. The APTARE platform leverages Web 2.0 architecture to enable collaborative information sharing, including the ability to access detailed reporting from browser-enabled handhelds for mobile, on the go forecasting and analysis, anytime, anywhere."
