Adaptec Joins IBM BladeCenter S

Adaptec Technology contributes performance and functionality in industry's first blade solution with shared storage

MILPITAS, Calif. -- Adaptec, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADPT), a global leader in storage solutions, today announced that IBM is integrating its RAID Storage Processor (RSP) technology into the highly- successful IBM BladeCenter S, creating the industry's first fully redundant, shared blade storage system. The Adaptec RAID technology being deployed by IBM is part of the technology portfolio of Aristos Logic Corporation that Adaptec acquired in August 2008.
