3PAR Adds Subsidiary

Utility storage company responds to rise of utility computing and server virtualization within the federal government

FREMONT, Calif. -- 3PAR, the leading global provider of utility storage, announced today the operation of its wholly-owned federal subsidiary, 3PAR Government Systems Inc. (http://www.3PARgov.com). 3PAR Government Systems was organized by 3PAR to focus within the government space and is based out of its Washington D.C. metropolitan office, located in Burtonsville , Maryland.

Today, 3PAR’s government customers include Department of Justice, Federal Reserve Bank of New York, National Institutes of Health, TIMPO, US Army, US Air Force and US Census Bureau. To date, over a dozen federal and government organizations specializing in research, the military, healthcare, law, and regulatory enforcement have purchased systems and more than two petabytes of 3PAR Utility Storage.

The 3PAR Government Systems executive team consists of President Jeff Price, Director of Federal Operations Ken Tomaselli, Secretary Paul Harvey, and Facility Security Officer Randy Gast. Price, Harvey, and Gast are also executive officers of 3PAR and will continue in their respective roles as the Vice President of Engineering, Vice President of Customer Service, and Vice President of Operations for the 3PAR.
