EMC announces agreement to acquire Pi Corporation, continues momentum in cloud computing

HOPKINTON, Mass. and SEATTLE, Wash. -- EMC Corporation, theworld leader in information infrastructure solutions, today announced it hassigned a definitive agreement to acquire Seattle-based Pi Corporation, aprivately-held developer of software and provider of services for personalinformation management. With approximately 100 engineers located in theU.S., Canada and India, Pi develops software and online services to enableindividuals to control how they find, access, share and protect theirincreasing volumes of digital information. Pi is in the process of betatesting its first products.
