SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Brocade (Nasdaq: BRCD - News), the world-leading Storage Area Network (SAN) provider, today announced that SAP Americas is furthering its relationship with Brocade by executing a phased SAN deployment utilizing Brocade solutions and services. Designed by Brocade Professional Services, the phased SAN deployment is designed to streamline SAP Americas' data center operations and bolster its services to customers of SAP Managed Services, the company's fast-growing hosting and application management division. SAP Americas looks forward to expanding its relationship with Brocade to support its surging Managed Services business, which delivers hosting and application management of SAP® applications to a large number of users from its headquarters in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. Leveraging Brocade 48000 Directors' scalable 4 Gbit/sec performance to support its growth, SAP Americas will more easily sustain its Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

"Critical to the success of SAP Americas' Managed Services business is our ability to provide customers with fast, non-stop access to their SAP applications and data," said Amram Castiel, IT Manager, SAP Americas. "With Brocade to design and upgrade our SAN, we can maintain our SLAs as we grow without incurring management or performance issues."
