Sanrad Launches Switch

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- SANRAD, Inc., a leading supplier of open Storage Area Network (SAN) connectivity and management solutions, today launched a new generation of V-Switch Intelligent Network Switches, the V-Switch 3440 and the V-Switch 3840. Designed to enable the cost-effective management of virtual storage infrastructures, the V-Switch solutions feature an open, heterogeneous storage networking architecture with enhanced connectivity and tightly integrated storage virtualization and disaster recovery to complement virtual server environments. SANRAD's unique ability to create virtual machine state-consistent snapshots across arrays and deliver storage disaster recovery without user intervention promise true high availability for any enterprise. SANRAD also introduced a new graphical user interface (GUI) that greatly simplifies storage management.

"In a recent ESG survey, 71% of current users said that they will purchase new storage systems in the next 24 months due to the capacity associated with their virtual server environment," said Mark Bowker, analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group. "In parallel, IT organizations face new challenges in protecting their virtualized infrastructure from application downtime or data loss and finding a solution that can fit their constrained IT budgets. SANRAD's V-Switch solutions have been optimized to work seamlessly with server virtualization to ensure business continuance and disaster recovery failover protection."
