ROBObak Reports Record Revenue
Company moves to cashflow-positive status, introduces major product upgrades
January 8, 2009
ATLANTA -- ROBOBAK, the leader in agentless data protection software designed for remote and branch offices, today reported record growth in new customer generation and revenues for 2008. The company said it had registered an increase of more than 300 percent in new customers over 2007, and noted that it is cashflow-positive.
ROBOBAK said that 2008 was the best year in the company’s history, pointing to a wide range of significant achievements, including:
The introduction of ROBOBAK v9, a new version of its software that cuts the time required for full remote backups of Microsoft Exchange databases by up to 90 percent or more. ROBOBAK’s Thin Backup Option™ (TBO) for Exchange makes it possible for storage administrators to once again get a handle on email data protection requirements that have been increasingly spiraling out of control. It also provides them with the assurance that their email databases, containing multiple terabytes of corporate-critical information, can be easily and reliably backed up offsite;
Significant expansion of its reseller channel across four continents, including North America, Europe, Pacific Rim and Australia; and
Announced the formation of the ROBOBAK certification labs, which tested hardware and software products from STEC and other leading vendors for compatibility with ROBOBAK’s software.
“The market evolved in our favor in 2008, with companies across a wide range of vertical industries understanding the need to centrally protect data from their multiple locations,” said Ron Roberts, ROBOBAK’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “2009 is shaping up as an even better year; our sales pipeline is filled with prospects, resellers and managed service providers have approached us, and our awareness is growing in the marketplace,” he added.
