ARA has also deployed Isilon's SnapShotIQ software for data protection and Isilon's SyncIQ software for asynchronous data replication. Additionally, ARA runs 11 digital imaging centers and serves as a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) hosting facility for more than five of the largest hospitals in central Texas and processes more than one million patient procedures per year.
"To fulfill our mission of providing the highest quality radiology services to our patients and physicians we have placed a great emphasis in applying the latest advancements in medical informatics, including the deployment of a state-of-the-art picture archiving system," said Todd Thomas, CIO, Austin Radiological Association.
