QLogic Announces Certification

DRESDEN, Germany -- QLogic Corp. (Nasdaq:QLGC), a leading
provider of networks for storage and high performance computing, today
announced that selected QLogic InfiniBand switches and host channel
adapters (HCAs) have been certified as part of the OpenFabrics Alliance
Interoperability Logo Program for InfiniBand and iWARP. A charter
member of the InterOperability program, QLogic is working with other
vendors and the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Lab to
enable the migration of high performance computing (HPC) from technical
computing environments to enterprise IT environments.

The OpenFabrics Alliance sponsors multiple interoperability events each
year at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Lab, providing
vendors with ongoing opportunities to earn the OFA-UNH-IOL logo for
their products. The test scenarios are available to the public, as are
the test results for all products that earn the logo.

"HPC customers tell us that they need to be able to choose
best-of-breed products and solutions for the data center, but most
importantly, they don't have time for glitches in interoperability or
sacrifices in performance," said Frank Berry, vice president of
marketing, QLogic Corp. "The OpenFabrics Alliance Interoperability Logo
Program addresses these concerns with a highly comprehensive approach.
As part of the comprehensive QLogic Network Platform(tm), QLogic
InfiniBand switches and HCAs deliver the performance and
interoperability that HPC customers expect from their networking
infrastructure solutions."
