PredatorWatch today announced substantial enhancements to its Auditor line of network security appliances, including a Vulnerability Quarantine System (VQS) compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standard.

Developed by the credit card industry to protect transaction data over the network, PCI requires companies to comply with a set of clearly-defined scanning and auditing procedures. According to PredatorWatch, Auditor 4.0 provides compliance, while integrating closely with Cicso Systems' Catalyst 2950 and 2995 intelligent switches to offer very fine access control.

In addition to PCI support, the new version of the Auditor software also provides IT governance and regulatory compliance gap analysis reporting for the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Sarbanes Oxley and Department of Defense standards. Auditor 4.0 manages remediation with ticketing, scheduling and alerting features, and allows IT managers to track remediation efforts throughout their processes.

"We believe and our customers confirm that our new, patented Vulnerability Quarantine System (VQS) is an evolutionary approach to proactive network security and assurance," PredatorWatch president and CEO Gary Miliefsky said in a statement.
