NET, QLogic to Offer InfiniBand

FREMONT, Calif. -- Network Equipment Technologies, Inc.
(NET) (NYSE: NWK) a global
provider of multi-service network and voice exchange solutions for government and
enterprise customers, today announced that it is collaborating with QLogic Corp., a
leader in networking for storage and high performance computing (HPC), to
cross-certify InfiniBand products to provide seamless networking solutions. NET
joins the QLogic HPCtrack partner program to drive usage, provide solutions and
deliver support to joint InfiniBand customers.
NET's NX5010 high-speed multiprotocol exchange platform enables the extension of
InfiniBand fabrics over the WAN, allowing datacenters and disparate computing and
storage resources to be connected into a single pool of utilizable and
interchangeable assets. The NX5010, in combination with QLogic InfiniBand switches
and host channel adapters (HCAs), offers customers a robust end-to-end solution for
InfiniBand over the LAN and WAN.

"Our relationship with QLogic and our participation in their HPCtrack partner
program are a core element of our partner-centric market strategy. NET is excited to
join QLogic in its efforts to deliver superior InfiniBand solutions," said John
Sandschulte, VP and GM of NET's Broadband Technology Group. "We are enthusiastic
about this partnership and are looking forward to working with QLogic as the
InfiniBand market continues to expand."
