SEATTLE -- In its focused pursuit to bring the breakthrough benefits of clustered storage to the broadest spectrum of businesses, Isilon Systems (Nasdaq: ISLN - News), the leader in clustered storage, today announced the release of the Isilon IQ 200. Leveraging Isilon's OneFS® operating system software, which powers all of Isilon's clustered storage systems, the Isilon IQ 200 is the industry's first product to pack the revolutionary benefits of high-end enterprise clustered storage -- including unmatched ease of use, performance and "pay as you grow" scalability -- into an extremely affordable and compact solution. This new class of clustered storage enables businesses of all sizes to speed access to critical stores of digital content while dramatically reducing the cost and complexity of storing and managing it. A number of Isilon customers have already deployed more than 50 units of the Isilon IQ 200 before its official launch.

With its unmatched ease of use, low cost and wide applicability, the Isilon IQ 200 serves as an attractive product for Isilon's channel and OEM partners. In conjunction with the launch of IQ 200, Isilon and Harris Corporation today announced (see separate release) that Harris Corporation is going to deliver the IQ 200 under the companies' OEM agreement. Isilon also announced today that more than 30 channel resellers and distributors have embraced the IQ 200 to meet broad market demand for clustered storage.

"Organizations of all sizes are creating, storing, and relying more on digital content as they respond to changing business requirements, and they are seeking solutions that can help them maintain control over this vast and growing amount of data," said Brad Nisbet, Program Manager, Storage Systems at IDC. "Products like Isilon's IQ 200 that allow a wide group of companies to address scalability challenges in terms of both performance and capacity will be necessary as IT managers work to successfully manage this growth."
