SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- ServerEngines Corporation, a leading supplier of silicon solutions for enterprise computing, today announced that Intel has selected ServerEngines™ PILOT II, the second generation of its popular Server Management Controller family of products, for incorporation into all their upcoming Intel Thurley generation of server designs. ServerEngines PILOT II, System-on-a-chip, integrates a fully featured BMC, Graphics Controller, Remote Video acceleration engine and a Crypto Acceleration engine. It also includes Server-class Super I/O functions, dual-channel USB functions and dual 10/100 Ethernet MACs. The PILOT II's industry leading 3 CPU architecture results in a superior video redirection solution more advanced than today's legacy KVM implementations.

"We standardized on ServerEngines™ Pilot II Server Management Controller for our new line of Intel® Xeon® 5500 Processor-based Server Boards because it was the best match to our overall requirements," said Bangalore Ramprasad, General Manager of Intel's Enterprise Platforms and Services Division.

"This is the second generation of our PILOT family of server management controllers." said Raju Vegesna, President, and CEO of ServerEngines. "We are very excited for the launch and ramp of Intel's Thurley platform, and the adoption of our device on all of Intel's standard server platforms."
