SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- RAID storageexpert Infortrend(r) today unveiled two new systems in its 'Cube'series: the EonStor(r) A08S-C2131 and A08S-C2132 SAS-to-SATA-II desktopRAID arrays. Combining affordability and reliability, the new eight-bayarrays support cost-effective SATA-II hard drives to provide up to 8TBof storage capacity and come with enhanced security features to protectdata in the event of hard disk failure. The systems' multi-lane SAShost interface offers ample bandwidth to handle high transactions andintensive throughput demanded by applications such as video editing,online retail and banking.

In a compact enclosure approximately the size of a standard PC tower,the arrays' unique desktop/tower convertible design is the result ofdirect customer feedback, allowing users to conveniently position thesestorage devices according to their space requirements. Also, for thefirst time, customers can choose either black or silver enclosures tocomplement the look of their PC or Macintosh environments.
