Infoblox Debuts Network Identity Appliance For SMBs

Infoblox Inc. has launched a new network identity appliance designed to allow small and mid-sized businesses gain greater flexibility and control over granting access to their networks.

The Infoblox IDeal IP solution delivers a wide range of network identity services, including internal and external domain name system (DNS) and dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP). The device allows quick and easy deployment of essential infrastructure services and supports network admission control (NAC), voice over IP (VoIP), and wireless networking. According to Infoblox, the IDeal IP's hardened NIOS operating system helps to ensure the a high level of network access security.

Easily upgradeable, the solution includes the same Infoblox IDeal IP module found in the Infoblox-500 platform. Its built-in IP address management (IPAM) functionality provides thorough network management visibility, allowing administrators to respond quickly to potential problems. The Infoblox IDeal IP appliance features a simple, web-based graphical interface for maintenance, management and upgrades and robust anti-failure features that Infoblax says will help to ensure continuous DNS and DHCP services.
