WALTHAM, Mass. -- Incipient, Inc., a leading provider of storage virtualization software for Storage Area Network (SAN) environments, announced today that it has fortified its sales team with the appointment of Peter T. McNamara as executive vice president of Worldwide Sales. In this role, Peter will be responsible for driving the strategy and growth of worldwide sales for the Incipient Network Storage Platform (iNSP™) software suite, the company's flagship switch-resident, enterprise-class storage virtualization solution. Peter will oversee all daily sales operations from the company's New York City office.

Peter joins Incipient with over a decade of enterprise software sales experience within the financial services sector, building and driving highly successful direct field sales organizations. His solid track record is highlighted by consistent quarter to quarter, year over year success with double digit revenue growth and annual global revenues reaching over $150 million. Most recently, Peter held executive sales positions for Symantec Corporation leading the New York Metro sales team, where he fostered and grew the company's most strategic client-base and managed New York-based accounts across all target vertical markets. In addition, prior to the company's merger with Veritas, Peter had management responsibility for the Veritas US-based Global Accounts sales teams. Prior to joining Symantec, Peter was a district manager for EMC Corporation in New York City where he managed and expanded EMC's foothold into the financial services market. Previous to EMC, Peter drove revenue successes with Oracle Corporation, also in New York. He holds a Master's degree in Arts and Sciences from New York University.
