BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Corporate Technologies, Inc. announced today a major expansion of its Virtualization Practice with the hire of senior IT global infrastructure veteran, John Laferriere.
In making the announcement, Harry Kasparian, President & CEO of Corporate Technologies said, There is a paradigm shift well underway towards enterprise-wide IT virtualizationdriven by significant cost-savingsthat is creating a tremendous opportunity for us. I am pleased to announce that John Laferriere has joined the company as VP, Infrastructure Services Group. In this newly created position, we expect John to help us build upon and expand the success of our service offerings.
Mr. Laferriere was most recently Global Head of Technology Services at Zurich North America, responsible for a $300M IT budget and a number of virtualization and IT consolidation projects across a worldwide geography. In this role, Laferriere was responsible for a large-scale virtualization effort that included multiple datacenters, thousands of servers and petabytes of storage, resulting in tens of millions of dollars in savings to the organization. Previously, Mr. Laferriere was CTO for several start-up software product companies and two reseller organizations, where he started and grew their professional services organizations.
