You go, Senator! If we must label it a national security problem to get some action on privacy protection, label away. In fact, stealing personal information that can be used for identity theft is a national security problem. But it's sad that legislators need prodding to recognize that consumers, not businesses or governments, own personal information.
Message to Congress: Give consumers a legal right to the privacy of any stored data about them. If you do that, we'll see some very secure databases soon.
