Bell Microproducts announces promotion of Joe Swanson to president of Rorke Data, Inc.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Bell Microproducts Inc. (NasdaqGM:BELM - News), one of the world's largest value-added distributors of storage and computing technology, today announced the promotion of Joe Swanson to the position of president of Rorke Data, Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Bell Microproducts).

Swanson originally joined Rorke Data in 1986 as vice president of sales, a position he held until 2003, at which time he was promoted to vice president and general manager.

As president of Rorke Data, Swanson is responsible for company operations worldwide, as well as heading up sales of its flagship product, the Galaxy line of RAID, NAS and storage server products. Rorke Data provides value-added, state-of-the-art hardware and software digital storage and management solutions.
