Bell Microproducts appoints Graeme Watt as president, worldwide distribution

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Bell Microproducts Inc. (Pink Sheets:BELM) today announced the appointment of Graeme Watt to the position of President, Worldwide Distribution. Watt will have responsibility for the Company's global distribution businesses in North America, Europe and Latin America. In this newly created position, he will continue to report to W. Donald Bell, President, CEO and Chairman of the Board.

For the past four years, Watt has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company's European distribution business headquartered in the United Kingdom and serving six other countries in Europe. In this position, Watt has responsibility for all sales, marketing, operations, IT, value-added, finance, and other support activities. "Graeme has a deep understanding of the IT industry and has the experience and capabilities to lead our continued success worldwide. In his leadership role in Europe, he has had responsibility for approximately half of our total distribution business. His demonstrated leadership capabilities have enabled the Company to build a talented and high caliber team in Europe," said Bell.

Prior to joining Bell Microproducts in 2004, Watt was employed by Tech Data Corporation, where he served as President of their European, Middle Eastern, and African Operations. Watt is a graduate of the Edinburgh University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology.He is also a Chartered Accountant. Graeme and his wife Kathryn have four children.
