LAS VEGAS -- Marvell (NASDAQ:MRVL) and Axentra today announced an integrated, performance optimized digital media solution to CE OEMs and Service Providers (SP). Orion powered media vault appliances, with Axentra's HipServ software platform allow OEMs and SPs to rapidly go to market with a powerful, custom configured, personal digital media appliance that enables consumers to save, show, sync and share their digital media anytime, anywhere, in the home and beyond.

With HipServ, now there is a common home, a simple place for the consumer to save photos, music, video and documents. Content is always available to Windows and Macintosh PCs, enabling the consumer to use their favorite PC applications. Media can be served directly for show on a variety of networked consumer electronics digital media players (DMP) and IP enabled TVs. This same media can sync to various mobile handheld devices (MHD) fromMP3 music players, mobile phones, PDAs, and digital cameras. HipServ allows customers to simultaneously share select content with friends and family over any type of broadband Internet connection as well as providing remote access and upload capability to their personal media vault while on the road from any mobile device or at the local internet cafe.

The Marvell Orion family of Media Vault platforms allows users to instantly access rich multimedia and data content throughout the home with Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities that deliver simultaneous, uninterrupted multi-streaming HDTV performance with exceptional price and performance advantages, scalability, networking and smart media processing.

Powerful, configurable modules include continuous back up from computers to the appliance. UPnP auto detection in HipServ allows easy connection of peripherals such as Internet Video Cameras, Digital Media Players (DMP) and digital cameras. HipServ's sharing function with Remote Access features allow users to access media or monitor the front door while out on the road.
