STAMFORD, Conn. -- Aperture, the leading global provider of software for managing the physical infrastructure of data centers, today announced that its VISTA solution achieved software validation from BMC Software's Technology Alliance Program. Aperture VISTA, an enterprise software solution which reduces operational risk and improves efficiency through the planning and management of data center resources, is now integrated with the BMC Remedy Action Request System.

Aperture VISTA delivers the best practice processes that enable organizations to take control of an increasingly complex physical environment including equipment, space, power, cooling, network and storage. The world's largest companies use Aperture VISTA to achieve substantial improvements in the quality, reliability and cost effectiveness of their data center planning, design, provisioning, troubleshooting and analysis.

The BMC Remedy Action Request System automates the overall enterprise change management process for IT organizations. Integrated with BMC Remedy Action Request System, Aperture VISTA enhances this process by managing the data center physical infrastructure change process and integrating with the VISTA configuration repository, reducing risks associated with changes. VISTA enables IT organizations to understand the impact of changes to the data center, reserve resources in the data center for planned changes and automatically update the configuration repository after the change is complete.

"Achieving BMC Software Validation for the Aperture VISTA-Remedy Change Management Interface enables us to provide an integrated solution in the data center," said Steven Yellen, VP Marketing of Aperture Technologies."The integrated solution provides an end-to-end process for managing change across the data center, bridging the logical and physical components and fully supporting IT Service Management (ITSM) principles."
