It has become a way of life in the IT world. Conference seasons wax and wane, but remain one of the best ways to get practical information and make contacts with vendors and other IT pros.

The spring conference and trade show schedule ramps up in March, and dies out in June. Then, as soon as the Independence Day celebrations fall silent, it's time for IT professionals to start looking at autumn -- even August -- travel.

I've gone to VMworld in the past, and I find it's always a great one to attend for all things cloud and virtualization.  Aside from some great sessions, there is a wealth of great partners attending to keep up to date on everything going on in the industry.

Yikes -- is it time to plan for fall already? I am in denial that VMworld is right around the corner. Is anyone contemplating that one? What is on your travel wish list?
