Appian Launches Web 2.0-Driven BPM Suite: Page 2 of 2

Among the new features: an interactive, Ajax-powered interface design tool and rules creator; easy-to-access real-time analytics; BPM integration with desktop apps such as Microsoft Office and Outlook; and RSS feeds to deliver business-relevant information to users without forcing them to even access the tool.

Using the Ajax interface, business users can create forms, dashboards and other process-driven interfaces that pull out actionable business-process information--for example, providing insight to inventory levels across a supply chain workflow.

The suite enables Outlook integration through a software plug-in, and also includes tools for outputting data to Word, Excel and e-mail templates. All told, Appian Enterprise 5.6 includes more than 75 new pre-built activities for enabling collaboration and participation in process management.
