Welcome To The New Byte and Switch

Storage is evolving, and so is Byte and Switch. We've redesigned and enhanced our Web site to better serve your needs for storage news and information.

Byte and Switch also has expanded our roster of writers and bloggers, adding some of the top industry reporters, analysts, consultants and end users to help you better understand the new storage products, technologies and best practices that are being adopted by savvy and forward thinking IT managers. The site also features new sections to highlight the best content elsewhere on the Web. We've also improved the site's interactive features, giving you an easier way to react to and comment on stories and blog posts.

And this is just the beginning. In the coming weeks and months stay tuned for more stories, blogs, case studies and other forms of information that can help you navigate through the changes that seem to be hitting the storage industry on a daily basis. You need to stay on top of new technologies like virtualization, solid-state disks, data deduplication and Fibre Channel over Ethernet, industry trends like data center consolidations and cloud computing and cloud storage, or business developments like mergers and acquisitions. You can count on Byte and Switch to keep you informed.

We also want you to keep us and your peers informed, and to that end we will be developing more interactive capabilities so you can share your views on the news of the day, your opinions on industry developments, and your advice on best practices on the site. Managing an enterprise storage infrastructure is a tough job, but it can be made easier by learning from those who are going through the same challenges that you are experiencing. We already have a community of IT proffessionals at Byte and Switch, and we are enhancing the features of the site to make it easier for you to share such information.
