Quick Takes: Monitoring; E-publishing; Online Meetings

This Edition: NetBotz CCTV Adapter Pod; NextPage NXT 4; Akiva WebMeeting Appliance 3.0; and nCipher netHSM.
NetBotz CCTV Adapter Pod
Merging analog and digital, NetBotz has introduced a CCTV adapter pod. The adapter works with the company's WallBotz surveillance and monitoring device series, which includes a camera pod and sensor pods that can be configured to register temperature, humidity, dew point, airflow and sounds. Using proprietary technology, the new CCTV pod lets users import analog visual data into the WallBotz device, which lets you make reports and/or send alerts. With your CCTV recordings accessible via WallBotz, you can centrally store and manage enterprisewide data and reduce or eliminate proprietary CCTV surveillance solutions.

NextPage NXT 4
NextPage has released version 4 of its NXT electronic-publishing suite. The software, which offers secure delivery of published information via the Internet, an intranet or in CD format, now includes license management, an incremental update tool and a single production process for multiple types of media. With the new license feature, you can lock content and set access limits. The incremental-update feature, which sends real-time updates to all licensed locations simultaneously, can aid in maintaining current helpdesks and corporate databases and in keeping within the letter of the law in situations where compliance issues change.
