PAUL, Minn. -- Shavlik Technologies, LLC, the market leader in simplifying complex enterprise network configuration, compliance and security, today announced that Rocco Donnino has been hired as vice president of worldwide business development. Donnino, a security industry veteran of over 20 years, will lead Shavliks global business development team as the company expands its portfolio of technologies and strategic partnerships in 2008. Donnino reports directly to Chris Schwartzbauer, Shavliks vice president of worldwide field operations.
Donnino comes to Shavlik from SurfControl PLC, where he was responsible for all global business development, and strategic initiatives for SurfControls OEM and web filter billings through platform and OEM partnerships such as Microsoft, Juniper, Sophos, Blue Coat, Novell, Cisco and Check Point. Before joining SurfControl, Donnino was with Microsoft as part of the executive team from the Sybari Software acquisition where he was instrumental in helping Microsofts Enterprise Access and Security Products Division establish a new worldwide security product offering and security sales force surrounding the technologies and assets from the Sybari Software acquisition now called the Microsoft Forefront.
Through his combined expertise in sales, strategic business planning, corporate and OEM development, partner and relationship management, he has consistently delivered strong and sustainable revenue gains. At Shavlik, Donnino will be responsible for increasing corporate revenue by developing and growing the companys OEM channel and strategic initiatives with partners such as Symantec, BMC Software, Microsoft, Juniper, VMware, and Sophos as well as creating new global system integrator partnerships for Shavliks vulnerability management, security policy compliance, and configuration management solutions.
