Isilon Expands Euro Ecosystem

Isilon announced substantial expansion of its European operations with a new distribution agreement with Distrilogie Group

WINDSOR, U.K. -- Isilon Systems (Nasdaq: ISLN), the leader in clustered storage, today announced substantial expansion of its European operations with a new distribution agreement with Distrilogie Group delivering Isilon’s innovative clustered storage solutions to a network of more than 2,000 reseller and integrator partners across France, Spain, Portugal and Benelux.

“As we continue to develop our channel ecosystem across Europe, it is essential that we establish strong distribution relationships across the region with trusted partners,” comments Xavier Guerin, Isilon Sales Director for Southern Europe. “We continue to rapidly expand in France and now our new relationship with Distrilogie will help us capitalise on the untapped opportunity in Spain and Portugal.”

The agreement follows recent customer wins including Skyrock, Nedstat and Dailymotion. Isilon also announced that Frederic Gasnier joined the company as Sales Manager for France following extensive experience at Network Appliance where he was responsible for generating record growth over his six years as District Manager.

“As our channel grows, we plan to bring in expertise to support our partners across both pre-sales and support,” explains Guerin. “Frederic brings a wealth of experience to the team and will help us develop our plans as we continue to push into markets such as online service providers, life sciences and medical imaging.”

The group will carry the full Isilon range of hardware and software products and will be responsible for logistics, partner training and lead generation initiatives.
