VirtualWisdom is a solution from Virtual Instruments that is available a-la-carte or packaged-to-go.  The full solution includes a traffic analyzer, a fiber channel probe, a VMware probe, a correlation engine (portal server) and a user friendly graphical user interface that allows data center managers to systematically instrument, measure, analyze and optimize their networks. 

The ability of the solution to literally tap into several points on a network and constantly map the traffic information to virtual machines yields information rich in value for SAN administrators tasked at maintaining peak performance and service levels.  However, I'm bullish on this company and product because of its ability to dramatically increase SAN utilization means the product reduces Opex, reduces Capex and quickly pays for itself.

The company already has an impressive list of Global 2000 end users and I expect solutions from Virtual Instruments to win a place in data centers of the others. If you're an OEM, SAN integrator or a large data center manager, I recommend you learn more about what Virtual Instruments might do for you.
