Stratus Gets SAP Certification

MAYNARD, Mass. -- Stratus Technologies, Inc. announced today the successful certification of the Stratus(R) ftServer(R) fault-tolerant server for use with the SAP NetWeaver(R) platform.
Certification testing was performed by AddOn Software GmbH in Walldorf, Germany on the Stratus ftServer 5700 system with attached Stratus
ftScalable(TM) storage. In addition, the company also announced that it has become an SAP(R) Global Technology Partner. SAP customers can now take advantage of the industry-leading fault-tolerant solution.

With field-proven performance of over 99.999 percent uptime availability, the Stratus ftServer system has already been selected for a number of manufacturing-based deployments of the SAP xApp(TM) Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP xMII) composite application, one of which involved 17 plants. Stratus' continuously available server was highlighted as part of SAP's vision of and solutions for the "perfect plant" at
SAPPHIRE(R) '07 Atlanta, SAP's international customer conference held in April. The initiative for the perfect plant brings together a partner ecosystem that delivers the functionality, integration, data synchronization and certified platforms that enable users to optimize their manufacturing performance. Stratus ftServer systems are powering the Perfect Plant Center of Excellence established by Tata Consultancy Services at SAP's U.S.
headquarters in Pennsylvania to demonstrate these benefits.

"Knowing that customer satisfaction and global support are key criteria in SAP's evaluation of potential global technology partners makes Stratus' new partner status very rewarding," said Frank Hill, Stratus director of SAP alliance. "Manufacturing customers have been the first to adopt the ftServer platform for use with SAP solutions in order to avoid the complexity of server clustering. But customers in all industries will benefit from the continuous availability made possible by fault-tolerant servers. Technology for continuous availability is what Stratus is all about, and we are pleased to lend our expertise to SAP and its partner community to provide customers with the solutions they need to maximize return on their ERP investments."
