RAID Inc. Announces Line of Customized Server Solutions Based Upon Nehalem CPUs

METHUEN, MA--(Marketwire - May 28, 2009) - RAID Incorporated, a customized storage, services, and HPC solutions provider specializing in leading-edge technologies, today announced availability on their Fusion server family based upon Intel's Nehalem CPU technology.

Responding to customer requests, RAID will be providing a full line of server solutions ranging from a 1U dual Nehalem CPU system to an enterprise blade solution with fourteen blades in a 7U form factor. These systems will provide extreme high-performance and density. RAID is one of a handful of vendors that can provide dual Tylersburg chipset technology, allowing for up to (72) PCI-E links for applications that need extreme bandwidth and performance. In addition, many of the Fusion servers feature a Green design, with 93% Efficiency power supplies significantly reducing power consumption and overall TCO.

RAID's line of Fusion servers allows them to offer fully configured, turnkey high-performance compute solutions, integrating with storage solutions such as the X2-IB, which is scalable up to 1,536 SAS/SATA drives and 128 GB of Cache, and their existing Fibre-Channel and InfiniBand switching products. In addition, all Fusion servers come with options for QDR/DDR InfiniBand, 10Gb/1Gb Ethernet, and 8Gb/4Gb Fibre-Channel host cards.
