QLogic Widens Lead

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- QLogic(r) Corp.
(Nasdaq:QLGC), the leader in Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs), ranked
number one and gained ground in every category of 2Gb and 4Gb Fibre Channel
HBA market share, according to the Dell'Oro SAN Report covering the full
year 2006. QLogic overall Fibre Channel HBA revenue market share in 2006 was
49.2 percent, an increase of 13.2 percent.

QLogic overall Fibre Channel HBA port market share in 2006 was 49.5 percent,
an increase of 7.2 percent. In the important new market for 4Gb Fibre
Channel HBAs, which now comprises approximately half of all HBA shipments,
Dell'Oro reports that QLogic achieved year-over-year revenue share growth of
97 percent (23.1 share points) and port share growth of 81 percent (21 share
points), resulting in the number one position for 4Gb HBAs. QLogic revenue
market share was 49.5 percent and port market share was 46.9 percent for 4Gb
HBAs.

"QLogic is seeing a trend in the world's largest corporations toward
deployment of a common HBA infrastructure for all server and operating
platforms," said Roger Klein, vice president and general manager, QLogic
Computer Systems Group. "That is why market share growth in 2006 was driven
by Global 2000 customers deploying SANblade HBAs in their largest
datacenters."
