(NYSE: BMC) today announced that Onaro, the leader in datacenter automation for storage, has completed the integration of Onaro's storage service management (SSM) solutions with BMC Service Automation, an extension of the BMC Business Service Management approach to optimizing IT's responsiveness to business needs

The integration will extend BMC Business Service Management and Service Automation solutions to multi-vendor networked storage infrastructures.
Joint customers will realize significantly reduced operational costs and improved service response times.
Networked storage currently represents up to 35 percent of the data center infrastructure budget. As storage spending continues to grow, there is increased pressure to align storage service delivery costs with business requirements. In addition, networked storage has become a critical component of application service delivery and datacenter virtualization initiatives.
