SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Data Domain, aleading provider of Enterprise Protection Storage systems for diskbackup and network-based disaster recovery, today announced that ithas achieved the status of CommVault(R) Strategic Partner. CommVault,a leading provider of Unified Data Management(R) solutions, extendsStrategic Partnership status to a select group of solution providersthat have demonstrated an investment in time and resources to teamwith CommVault's technical, marketing and sales forces to deliverjoint solutions. Data Domain is already a member in CommVault'sPartnerAdvantage(TM) program. As a strategic partner, enterprisecustomers will benefit from Data Domain's elevated status since thetwo companies now will expand their compatibility testing and furtheralign their go-to-market strategies to bring enhanced data protectionofferings to market.

The combination of Data Domain's deduplication-enabled EnterpriseProtection Storage systems and CommVault Galaxy(R) backup andrecovery have already allowed numerous enterprises to enjoy highperformance disk-based backup and disaster recovery solutions thatreduce costs and work more efficiently than tape-based solutions.
