SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. -- Coraid Inc. today announced the newest member of its low cost, high capacity storage appliances. Coraid delivers true networked storage over standard Ethernet and is based on the innovative open AoE (ATA over Ethernet) protocol. Today, the company is introducing an easy-to-deploy, free standing tower configuration of the popular SR1521 EtherDrive Storage Appliance.

Not all customers want rack mounted storage equipment, especially in an office environment. The newly configured SR1521T suits those customers that need powerful and scalable network storage readily available at the departmental level,” said Coraid CEO Jim Kemp. “A single SR1521T EtherDrive Storage Appliance can provide 11.25TB of shared storage on the network, as your needs grow, you simply add more SR1521T’s to the network using standard Ethernet. The introduction of the SR1521T allows us to accommodate users that want the convenience and flexibility of low cost desktop storage”
