Riverbed Responds to Quantum

Riverbed responds after Quantum files a complaint against it for alleged patent infringement

SAN FRANCISCO -- Riverbed Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:RVBD - News), the performance leader in wide-area data services (WDS), announced today that Quantum Corporation has filed a complaint for alleged patent infringement against Riverbed in San Jose, California.

Riverbed's policy is to respect the intellectual property rights of all third parties. Riverbed has no factual or other basis to believe that it infringes the patents of any third party, including Quantum. Riverbed intends to timely respond to Quantum's claims and will defend itself in this action to ensure that its rights are fully protected.
