HDS Names CEO, Chairman

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT) and the only provider of Services Oriented Storage Solutions, announced today it has named Jack Domme to serve as the companys chief executive officer, and Minoru Kosuge has been promoted to chairman of Hitachi Data Systems. Domme, who was appointed chief operating officer in 2007, succeeds Kosuge who was appointed chief executive officer. The new executive appointments are effective April 1, 2009.
