Brocade Joins Oracle Program

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Brocade(R) (Nasdaq: BRCD), the leader in networked storage solutions that help enterprises connect and manage their information, today announced that it has joined the Oracle Unbreakable Linux program-providing full interoperability between Brocade Storage Area Network (SAN) switches and Oracle(R) Enterprise Linux. As a result, companies running Oracle Enterprise Linux can easily integrate and deploy Brocade switches with a wide range of products from other leading SAN solution providers.

The Oracle Unbreakable Linux Support program is designed to give companies a higher degree of confidence in the system and storage configurations on which they run Oracle and Linux. At this year's LinuxWorld conference, Brocade products will be featured in a series of Oracle Validated Configurations, including servers from HP and Dell as well as storage from EMC and Pillar Data Systems.

"By using Brocade products in validated configurations and solutions, customers can deploy Oracle and Linux applications faster and with greater reliability and security," said Tom Buiocchi, Brocade Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. "Brocade has conducted rigorous field testing alongside Oracle systems, and we are confident that our solutions provide customers with one of the most secure, data management solutions on the market today."
