We predicted that high-definition videoconferencing would not take off until 2007 due to increased bandwidth requirements. Lifesize and Polycom, the big two names in HDVC, were late in getting final products to market. High bandwidth usage will still be a concern.

We said SIP would prevail over XMPP in the enterprise IM space. Bingo.

We expected IE7 to be released earlier in 2006, leading to increased usage of RSS. In reality, the launch was delayed to late October, and many Web users haven't upgraded yet. So we're shifting our RSS prediction to mid-2007.
