Robert is a 30-year veteran of technology and Doctor Who. He blogs on technology, POHO, and soft topics at rsts11.com, and in his day job promotes and communicates big data at Cisco Systems, working with software vendors and channel partners as well as internal teams at Cisco. 

He can be seen at meetings of BayLISA, the Silicon Valley system administrator user group for which he has held a leadership role for almost four years. You may also see him on videos and roundtables for Gestalt IT's Tech Field Day events (datacenter, storage, and virtualization). He also operates a small computer shop and museum in Sunnyvale called Andromedary Instinct.
