WAN optimization specialist Expand Networks has picked up $10 million in funding, according to a report on Israeli Website Globes.co.il.
Intel Capital has apparently joined existing investors Tamir Fishman Venture Capital, and Discount Investment Corporation in Expands latest tranche of funding, according to Globes.
Expand refused to comment on the funding rumors when Byte and Switch contacted the firm last night, although the round would take the firms total funding to well over $80 million.
The vendor picked up $21 million in an F round of funding just over a year ago, taking its total funding to $74 million. This weeks rumored top-up round would take this figure to a whopping $84 million.
Last years cash influx was primarily to boost Expands Asia-Pacific presence, particularly in China, Korea, and Australia, and followed the announcement of a partnership with Chinese technology firm Huawei-3Com (H3C).
