"Throughput greater than 10 Gbps"

At first glance this appears to be a valid claim, but the IT Pro 853045 is an appliance, which should immediately trigger the flashing red warning lights. There are no 10-Gbps NICs. Only in the past year have 10-Gbps switches appeared, and they are primarily used

for MANs (metropolitan area networks) and as aggregation points.

So how can an appliance claim to have such unbelievable throughput? It's all in the configuration--which consisted of more than 10 IT Pro Ethernet Thingies.
