In an effort to support compliance with new federal and state requirements, j2 Global Communications' latest service, eFaxSecure, offers secure Web access to confidential documents as well as other file formats, such as tiff and pdf. Used in conjunction with the company's secure VPN and encryption as made available through its eFax Corporate subscription, eFaxSecure sends an e-mail containing an encrypted login link rather than the actual fax attachment. The link opens an SSL connection from which the subscriber can log in with an eFax Corporate PIN to view the fax. Subscribers can store, access or forward secure faxes using eFaxSecure.
