Citrix VDI-in-a-Box is an all-in-one virtual desktop implementation built for the everyman. Its wizard-based management requires no datacenter expertise and enables deployment in less than an hour while cutting 60% of VDI costs by delivering high availability with no dedicated management servers or shared storage, the vendor says. This yields a total cost per desktop of less than $500 and capacity that's easily scaled by simply adding off-the-shelf servers, Citrix says. Citrix's VDI expertise provides users with a personalized experience on any device, with individual workspaces for applications and data.
