Global Crossing and Hong Kong Firm To Provide VPN and IPLC Services Worldwide

Alliance will deliver MPLS IP VPN and international private leased circuit (IPLC) services for multinational enterprises in more than 500 cities in 50 countries
New World Communications has announced that it has signed a deal with Global Crossing to deliver multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) IP VPN and international private leased circuit (IPLC) services to multinational enterprises in more than 500 cities in 50 countries.

Through the deal, the Hong Kong-based New World Communications (NWT) will use Global Crossing's MPLS-based IP network and its iMPLS service, an enhanced provider-interconnect solution that allows NWT to offer its regional customers a global MPLS-based IP VPN service reach with guaranteed performance service-level agreements (SLAs).

iMPLS enables the connection of Global Crossing's IP-based network with NWT's network that is equipped with a "packet-over-fiber" platform that supports convergence of voice, data and video.
