No data traffic can get from one side of the bridge to the other, or data is intermittently getting corrupted when passing through the bridge. Thoroughly check the software and hardware configuration of the bridge. If in an Ethernet and TCP/IP addressing environment, check for the correct TCP/IP address. Attempt an ICMP ping test. Are any incorrect configuration parameters present in the bridge? Take the necessary action to resolve the problem and retest the bridge for proper operation.
