Gateway Problem

Choose the most appropriate symptom:

The whole network has trouble accessing or using a host gateway connected to a local segment.

One Ethernet station node or a group of Ethernet station nodes is having trouble accessing or using a host gateway connected to a local segment.

There is a problem accessing or using a host gateway from a nonlocal segment that is bridged, routed or connected through a remote connection.

Gateway sessions appear to be running slowly or unresponsively.

LAN-to-host sessions are intermittently locking up or freezing.

These procedures are generic as to gateway and gat eway-sharing software manufacturers. For some of the troubleshooting steps mentioned here, you should also refer to the manufacturer's documentation for any special predefined methods for checking configuration and for testing.
