Check the Ethernet station node, file server or print server to which the printer is connected and the printer itself, to make sure that they are configured with all the proper hardware and software components and the correct configuration parameters. Also check the network file server or print server for all the correct printer-sharing software and proper configuration.

Are any incorrect configuration parameters present in the respective Ethernet station node, network file server, print server or printer?

Take the necessary action to resolve the problem and retest the printer for proper operation. If the failure symptom is gone, record the problem in the network maintenance and service log. If the problem still exists after retesting, go to the next step.
