I totally agree with you, Cara. In fact, I think there are many parallels between the evolution/acceptance of the Web and that of social media. It's almost shocking now when a company does not have a website. I think we will see the same thing in the next few years for organizations that do not have social media presence.

It's hard to believe that some companies are still not involved at all in social media. In the past, I have heard people discuss (and I've subscribed to this philosophy as well) their beliefs that if a company did not have a legitimate website, it must not be credible. I think we are beginning to see the same effect with a business/company's social media presence.
